| About Jeffery
Jeffery A. Faulkerson is the principal owner of JEFFERYAFAULKERSON.COM, a Southern California-based writing, editing and publishing practice. He is committed to providing his customers with the clear written copy they need to meet their bottom-line business objectives. Jeffery also seeks to research, develop and distribute print, broadcast and electronic media projects that encourage members of the global village to think practically when addressing the social issues of the day.
Jeffery earned his graduate degree in Social Work Management and Community Practice from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). During his years of study at UTK, he also completed Print/Journalism coursework through the College of Communications.
Jeffery's writing credits include feature and sports articles and columns published in the Kingsport Times-News, Daily Beacon, Knoxville Journal, Oak Ridger and MEOA News. Raising My V.O.I.C.E. (Verbalizing Orderly Impressions through Creative Endeavors) is his first nonfiction book title. He has also authored titles in the IT'S GOOD TO BE GOLDEN Children's Book Series, the EDUCATIONAL SAFARI Guidebook Series (for African-American Teens), and the FREDDIE GOLDEN Adventure Series.
The oldest of three children raised by a single-parent mother, Jeffery is passionate about facilitating educational seminars and workshops that give concerned adults the impetus they need to improve outcomes for children and youths. A gifted motivational speaker, Jeffery is often called upon to talk about his insights and experiences as an independent author, child and family advocate, former TRIO Upward Bound and YMCA director, and active parent.
